First Level
If you desire to compete in our First level, you must have show/competition experience at First level or above (exceptions will not be made). Show proof is required.
As there is currently no "Open" level within our zone, if you have competed Second levels and above, you will still be placed in First level.
Upper Training
If you desire to compete in our Upper Training level, you must be able to walk, trot, canter, halt, and "stretch trot" comfortably on your own. Show/competition experience is required at Training level, test 1, 2, or 3 (exceptions may be made at the discretion of the coach and captain).
If you have competed First level in any recognized dressage competition, you are not elligible to compete in the Upper Training level (you must compete First level). If you have competed with any of the IHSA teams, level Open, you are not elligible to compete in the Upper Training (you must compete in First level). Proof of showing is required.
Lower Training
If you desire to compete in our Lower Training level, you must be able to walk, trot, canter, and halt comfortably on your own. Show/competition experience is required at Training level, tests 1, 2, or 3 (exeptions may be made at the discretion of the coach and captain).
If you have competed First level in any recognized dressage competition, you are not elligible to compete in the Lower Training level (you must compete First level). If you have competed with any of the IHSA teams, level Intermediate, you are not elligible to compete in the Lower Training (you must compete in Upper Training). Proof of showing is required.
Intro Level
To be able to compete in our intro level, you must be able to comfortably walk, trot, and halt a horse on your own. We do not show our own horses at the competitions, and thus you must be comfortable with handling a strange horse in a show ring. Minimum 8 months experience is required, with regular lessons in the discipline within those 8 months.
If you have competed Training level in any recognized dressage competition, you are not elligible to compete in the Intro level (you must compete in Lower or Upper training). If you have competed with any of the IHSA teams, level Novice or advanced W/T/C, you are not elligible to compete in the Intro level (you must compete in Lower Training). Proof of showing is required.
