ABOUT US

The IDA dressage team is comprised of Western Equestrian members that compete in Michigan and Ohio throughout the year. This year, we have 7 shows to offer. Whether you are just starting out, or have already competed Prix St. George, you are welcome! The team is made up of groups of 4; one intro rider, one lower training rider, one upper training, and one first level rider. Qualifications for each level are further explained in the “Tests” tab!

The most important thing you need to know about the IDA team is that you do not require your own horse to compete with us! We only ask that you have been riding this discipline for 8 consecutive months with lessons. This is a safety requirement, because we do not ride our own horses - we need you to stay safe up there! If you are unsure whether or not your 8 months of riding can be classified as “dressage” (talking to you beginners out there!), send us an email with a video description of what you’ve been doing, and we’ll be more than happy to help!

Four of our 2015/16 riders; Lily Kim, Alex Easton, Andy Balanean, and Katie Westwood.

Goofy photos are kind of our thing.

Go purple, Go white!
